Welcome to the Madison Rod & Gun ClubWelcome to the Madison Rod & Gun Club. Incorporated in 1938, our purpose is to promote good sportsmanship and the interests of legitimate sport with rod and gun while conserving natural resources. Memberships are open to residents of the State of Connecticut and must be sponsored by two charter members.
Members are allowed guests for fishing and hunting, except on opening day. All members exercising hunting or fishing privileges on Club owned or leased property must have a valid state license and agree to follow and support all state and club regulations.
Members admitted to the Club under the age of 21 years shall be know as Junior members. They shall enjoy the hunting and fishing privileges, as per by-laws, but shall not have a vote at meetings.
The club reserves the right to censure, suspend or revoke the membership of any member who violates the written or unwritten laws of sportsmanship and good conduct. Charter members have an annual requirement of 40 work hours, of which 8 work hours are mandatory. The remaining 32 hours may be bought out.
The Skeet, Trap, and Five (5) Stand are open year round on Sundays beginning at 9:00 am and Wednesdays beginning at 10:00 am.
The Club holds its monthly meeting every 4th Monday at 7:30 p.m. All members are welcome and guests by invitation.
